Introduction and Welcome

The League Chair Brian opened the meeting and thanked everyone for their attendance.

Roll call

A good attendance in the meeting, 4 clubs failed to attend therefore will be fined £25 according to the fines tariff, Cawthorne Juniors, Oxspring United, South Hiendley & West Bretton.

Minutes of previous meeting held on the 20th June 2024

Brian informed all clubs present , the minutes of the last meeting was forwarded to all Secretaries via email, all clubs present was asked for a show of hands if any secretary did not receive them, 100% received. Brian asked all present if they read the minutes then asked if any questions on them, no questions asked, all minutes were accepted. Proposer Afc Pogmoor and Seconder Dearne & District.

FA Scory Rules and League Rules

Clubs were asked if they had any questions regarding rule amendments and update , also informing all of the addition Mandatory FA Rules which come into effect immediately, these being the No Heading Rule which will effect the U7s and U 8s this season, and the Dribbling Rule (no throw ins) which effects the Under 7s, 8s and 9s. Information on these rules will be put onto the League Website and are available on the County FA Website. All Clubs must a apply for the FA Accreditation, if you have not then contact Tom Measham at SHCFA, he will advise what needs doing., we will be checking on all clubs regarding the accreditations.

League Commencement Date and closed dates

The first fixtures of the season will start on Sunday 8th September and will conclude the season on or before the 18th May 2025. Their will be three closed weekends, 22nd and 29th December plus Easter Sunday 20th April. If you require a fixture relaxation you must put your request on an email (not text or what’s app) giving your reason for relaxation giving clear days prior notice. There will be no relaxations granted in March, April, or May, (bare this in mind) under any circumstances.

Age Group Registrars

Registrars this season as follows: U7s and 8s is Michelle Logan, U9s is Karen Parton and U10s and U 11s will be both Nic Jones and Lee Beck, all their contact numbers was read out and are on the league webs meeting on Thursday site and in the handbook. We will be holding an Under an Under 7s pre-season meeting on Thursday 29th August at 7pm in the church hall, this has been beneficial in previous years especially as many coaches are new to football, Michelle will be sending an invite to all managers in the
next week or so.

Club contact details, Managers details and registrations

All Managers and Assistant Managers names and fan numbers must be entered on the fa whole game system, if the whole game system will not allow these to be assigned to the role, then that person will lack the appropriate qualification. The individual clubs are responsible to ensure that all coaches and assistants are qualified. Aa above both the CFA and the League will be looking on the WGS and doing house checks.

Player Registrations are open, free registrations closed on the 31st July, now there is a charge of £3 for each player excluding those who have not attained the age of 6 years old yet. Proof of birth will be required for all inexperienced players entering the league, Karen will be monitoring this. Players need to be registered on the wgs and approved by Karen by close of the day (8pm) Friday evening before they can play in any League Competition Fixture on the following Sunday.

Outstanding Fines

The following clubs were reminded they have an overdue fine which requires immediate payment to avoid suspension, Houghton Main, Upton United and Worsbrough Bridge.

League Divisional and Fixtures

All clubs present was given a handout showing all age group divisions, these was put together based on the final league tables from the 2023-2024 season except for the new under 7s, we looked at location for this age. We will discuss the Under 7s in more detail at there meeting on the 29th August. All the divisions will play both home and away basis and Cup Competitions will be introduced (to be confirmed. We will be looking to do at least two cup competitions for each age group, if possible, we will look at a third option.

Gavin mentioned all information will be added to the fa fulltime and the league website asap, new clubs could you forward a jpeg of your club logo to Gavin asap.
