2nd Roll Call – AFC Pogmoor, Dearne Dragons, Elsecar Main, South Hiendley Harriers, Upton Utd – All will be fined for no attendance.

Accounts – Balance sheet shared. Quick run through of the figures. If anyone has questions, please ask at the end.

Income – Most of the items self-explanatory. Other income detailed as below:
Misc. = donations
Funding income = £4K towards an office unit & £375 funding from FA.
Total income of £17597.07

Expenses – again self-explanatory. Although we used medals purchased from last season, we had to purchase additional medals to cover the increase in teams/players.
Balance Sheet all verified, by Secretary, Chairman, and the accountant. If anyone wishes to see receipts/ paperwork to support the expenditure, please advise.
Re income from fines – The league would like to see this figure at nil. Majority of fines come from no attendance of meetings and unfulfillment of fixtures at last minute, unrelated to Covid. If a secretary cannot attend any meeting, send a representative to avoid receiving a fine.

Question raised by - Julie Crossland (Dale Juniors) - Julie felt that there was an inconsistency on fines issued. Some of her teams received a fine whereas others within her Club did not albeit they were for the same reason.
Response - All fines are reviewed on an individual basis and issuing fines is based on the individual circumstances surrounding this, clubs failing to provide any good reason is also considered. On some occasions the League my feel it is not appropriate to issues fines based on information provided. If any secretary or anyone feels that there is an inconsistency, please contact the League to discuss, appropriately.

Election of Officers of the League & Management Team –Brian Curry - Chairman, Gavin Logan - Secretary & Treasurer, John Neville – President & Welfare Officer All are happy to remain in their current role.

One position as an Officer has become available as Chris Williams has stepped down as Vice Chair. Dave Walters has been nominated by Gavin Logan and seconded by Brian Curry for this position. The floor was asked if anyone wishes to put themselves forward for any of the Officers position including the vacancy for Vice Chairman. No one wished to be nominated therefore all current members and the new Vice Chairman was voted on and all accepted.

The question was raised as to whether existing Officers of the League need to be nominated to remain in position. It was confirmed by Gavin, that Officers do not need be nominated if they are NOT standing down. The only Officer which has stood down was Chris Williams, therefore this is the only role whereby someone needs to be nominated and seconded to take on the role. The floor was asked again if anyone wished to put themselves forward as Vice Chair – no volunteers.

Officers of League confirmed as follows:
Chairman - Brian Curry
President - John Neville
Vice Chair - Dave Walters
Treasurer - Gavin Logan
Secretary - Gavin Logan

The League welcomed Dave Walters as Vice Chair. Dave Walters said a few words to thank the League for welcoming him.

The League Management Members Team is made up of 11 members, all names read out and who are all happy to remain part of the team.  Any objections from the floor? None raised therefore all re-elected onto the Management Team.

We currently have a vacancy which has arisen as we have lost one member of the team, Rachel Turnbull. Would any members wish to put themselves forward to help with the progression of the league?

Estelle Ellis – Treasurer at Wath Stars would be interested in joining. Gavin Logan – (League Secretary) proposed Estelle and was seconded by Julie Haywood (Brierley Cubs) welcome Estelle to committee. Gavin is to speak to Estelle to discuss the role and what is expected.

Estelle said she was very much taken with how passionate the current management are about the success of the league and she likes the way the league is run. Once Estelle and Gavin have discussed Estelle will decide on whether she wishes t still would put her name forward.

Action Gavin – contact Estelle, if anyone else is interested becoming part of the management team, please speak to Gavin.

FA Scory Rule Updates. Copy of the scory rules and domestic rule changes have been emailed to all Secretaries. Some re-wording and changes have been made and highlighted. All changes will be shared on league website within next 48 hours. All changes are highlighted in red. If anyone requires a copy of the rules, please advise asap.

Gavin read through the changes and asked all to Please familiarise yourself with the changes.

Question – Graham Ambler (Ackworth) - Will there be any changes to the number of players allowed to register to per team?

Response – The maximum numbers have been specified in Scory, but Gavin will liaise with the FA as they advise that in small, sided teams (5v5 & 7v7) that the maximum allowed to play is double the match day squad size.

Action – Gavin Logan to liaise with the FA to seek clarification on number of players allowed to register.

Question – Estelle (Wath Stars) - How much are league fees and when do they need to be paid?

Response - £65 per team and by 15th July each year. If any team is struggling to pay by this date, please speak to Gavin.

Gavin also confirmed that for every player registered after 31 August 2021, there will be a fee of £2, before this date its free.

Player transfers can take place from 1 October 2021 and a fee of £5 payable.

Question – Sally (Hall Green) - Can initials be on front of squad shirt instead of name?
Response – Yes, its full names that cannot

Question – Sally (Hall Green - Will we still have squad cards, or will we use match day app?
Response – We would like everyone to use match day app. The league will have copies of the squad sheet in the office. It is important that all Managers check that their contact details are correct on WGS otherwise they will not receive the match day notifications. You can also print a squad sheet off from WGS. The League Handbook will be going live on the League website within couple of days of meeting. Please familiarise yourself with it.

Question – Julie Crossland (Dale Juniors) What is the preferred method of communication, is it still what’s app as previously advised on the League website?

Response – What’ app is only to share kick off times, fixtures and match information. It is not a forum to spark contentious issues or to cause upset. If anyone has other questions i.e., a fine or no fulfilment of fixtures, please contact Gavin, Nev, Brian in private by email. Julie acknowledged the response given but felt it that what’s app should be able to provide an honest & open forum to share matters with other Secretaries or use to ask for help or ideas. She felt that on some occasions that questions were shut down.

It was suggested by another Secretary that they could set up their own what’s app group that does not need to include the League.

Question – Audrey (Royston) Sought clarification re ‘heading’ Response – No heading in training sessions. Can head in a match.
