FA SCORY – Copy of the SCORY RULES, and DOMESTIC RULES and all changes have been emailed together with the LEAGUE HANDBOOK to all club secretaries. Rewording and changes have been highlighted and will be updated onto the league website as soon as possible following the AGM, Gavin read the changes and asked all to please familiarise yourselves with the changes.

League Rule Updates & season start and end dates - Season starts 11th Sept 2022 - Ends 21st May 2023

Key changes to the Domestic Rules - No matches will be scheduled over the Christmas and New Year period or on Easter Sunday. Please expect to play on all other Sundays, no relaxations will be accepted unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Reporting of results will be the responsibility of both managers and must be sent into your registrars on the same day of your match before 5pm on a Sunday and 8.30pm if midweek

Maximum number of player registrations per squad as follows:

5v5 = 10 players
7v7 = 14 players
9v9 = 14 players
11v11 = 16 players

For this season only, the Management team have agreed that for players/teams that were registered last season they will be able to register again. I.e., if an u7 team had 14 players registered with the league last season they can all re-register this season even though the league rules state a max of 10 players. These players MUST have played and registered last season with the league.

You can still only play the squad size plus 5 subs as per FA guidelines. If a registered player leaves and you are above the new league maximum numbers, you cannot replace the player. The only time you can add / replace more players is when your squad size falls below the max number of registered players.

Development matches are no longer being encouraged/supported by the League as some teams have abused the development match and are playing players longer than the FA guidelines. If a team wishes to have a ‘development/friendly’ match after the league match, Managers will need to mutually agree this.

KO times have altered slightly -

Sept, Oct, March & April - 9.30 to 2.30pm
Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb - 9.30 to 2.00pm

Pass back rule must be played.

The league has also taken on board comments made around the cup competitions; we are currently looking into various formats together with the FA which we will be looking to develop and change for the new season.

Club & Team Affiliations - Gavin advised that there are still some Clubs/Teams that need to be Affiliated to the FA and some outstanding League Entry Fees are also outstanding, Gavin to contact these Clubs/Teams accordingly.

Player registration – Karen advised the window for registrations opened in July.  Any registrations after 31st July will incur a £3 admin fee although Karen advised this has been changed until the evening of the 3rd of August due to tonight’s meeting to help support anyone having any FA issues – she has allowed free registrations up to and including the 3rd of August so please get your forms submitted immediately. There are a few issues around Parent Contact Numbers which are being addressed and she is in constant communication with the FA Help desk trying to resolve this, will keep everyone updated.

DBS & Safeguarding – Gavin informed all Clubs to make sure all Managers and Assistants are on their FA WGS Portal and have current DBS and Safeguarding, both the CFA and the League, anyone who has not got these will need to book onto the online workshops immediately. Available Online Courses are available through the FA Boot room Links which can be found on either the SHCFA or BDJFL Websites.

Gavin also confirmed Re-Certification of Safeguarding your qualification is now only valid for two years, not three years. FA Workshops are available, see the links on the fa and CFA websites, these are also available in the Links Section on the BDJFL Website also.

Gavin reminded all clubs to make sure manager and assistants are all logged onto the clubs FA WGS Portal, anyone requiring Safeguarding or DBS renewals will need to book on the online workshops.

Teams and Divisions – We are almost there with teams registering to the CFA, we will confirm divisions within the next 24/48 hours. Fixtures will follow once affiliations are complete, hopefully in the next 10 days.

AOB - There was no questions in AOB to answer
